Job Summary

 

As a Payroll Partner, you will be the lead, responsible for the day-to-day client interaction within assigned client accounts. Once a payroll services client is on board, the Payroll Partner is the main client point of contact and is the primary internal face for the client. This person assumes overall responsibility for successful client delivery with an emphasis on client satisfaction. Their focus is on communication to and from the client; managing against the scope of services/business requirements, communicating on change orders internally and externally, and generally ensuring that services are being executed in accordance with the agreed-upon statement of work.

Duties/Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain and grow long-term client relationships, responding to day-to-day client needs.

  • Establishes recurring client meetings and engages resources as appropriate to support governance discussions.

  • Serve as an internal advocate for client processes and requirements, coordinating with multiple internal groups to identify and meet client needs.

  • Develop client account management plan(s).

  • Develop action plans for clients that may slip below the minimum performance thresholds/targets.

  • Resolve escalations by working with internal operations and external providers in obtaining and understanding root cause analysis and corrective action for complex or non-routine situations.

  • Manage response to or handling of client inquiries/requests via HMC (Case Management) ensuring that it is timely and accurate.

  • Coach and mentor payroll processing analysts and provide information, guidance, and direction on client-specific processes and procedures.

  • Manage new client onboarding / operational readiness, engaging subject matter experts as appropriate to execute activities.

  • Manage Year-End Process and reporting, oversee quality control measures., and facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.

  • Deliver status reports and presentations as necessary.

  • Provide support as needed with payroll processing activities.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience processing payroll, managing HR data reconciliation, or working within a business process outsourcing (BPO) setup.

  • 2+ years experience using Payroll/HRIS software platforms to extract, analyze, and troubleshoot transactional data across systems.

 

Other Qualifications

 

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with a proven track record of using formulas, Pivot Tables, and lookups to audit large datasets.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize individual workloads to meet tight, non-negotiable client release deadlines.

  • Solid understanding of employee master data workflows, retroactive payroll calculation logic, and post-payroll cycles.

  • Exceptional active listening and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with unique client circumstances and explain processing errors clearly.

  • Practical problem-solving instincts, with the ability to break down payroll anomalies into manageable components and apply structured troubleshooting solutions.

  • Familiarity with enterprise software frameworks, particularly SAP SuccessFactors.

  • High level of personal accountability, with the ability to execute tasks cleanly with minimal day-to-day oversight.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, Finance, or an equivalent technical professional certification preferred.

 

 

Physical Requirements

 

  • This position requires periods of sitting at a desk, standing, and working on a computer.

 

Salary Range

 

  • The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000

 

Travel Requirements

 

  • This position may require up to 25% travel.
