Job Description

As the Payroll ABAP Programmer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing SAP Payroll and Employee Central Payroll (ECP) solutions. You will play a crucial role in delivering tailored payroll solutions for clients, ensuring compliance with local and global payroll regulations, and enhancing system performance. This role requires in-depth knowledge of ABAP programming, payroll processes, and integration technologies.
  
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role will not have direct reports at this time

Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $185,000 depending on experience. In some cases, compensation below or above that range may be offered.

Location:
This is a remote position (within the United States), or you can work from one of our offices in Portland, ME; Shawnee, KS; or Orlando, FL. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop, debug, and maintain ABAP programs for payroll processing, including custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF).
• Design and implement seamless integrations between SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, and third-party systems.
• Ensure compliance with payroll regulations across regions, including U.S. and Latam.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical payroll-related issues to maintain accurate and efficient processing.
• Create audit-ready solutions and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Act as a technical advisor, providing innovative solutions to payroll challenges.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of ABAP programming experience with a focus on payroll systems.
• Knowledge of payroll processes, tax calculations, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, and integration tools such as APIs, IDOCs, and middleware (e.g., SAP PI/PO, CPI).
• Strong problem-solving and performance optimization skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• SAP certification in ABAP or Payroll (preferred).
