Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Head of Sales to lead our expanding sales organization through its next phase of growth. This person will be responsible for driving revenue across software, services, and managed offerings (AMS, Payroll/BPaaS) while building and mentoring a high-performing team that embodies our values of partnership, accountability, and innovation.

The ideal candidate is both a strategic operator and a hands-on coach - someone who thrives in a fast-paced, partner-driven SaaS environment and knows how to align sales execution with long-term growth.

Location: This is a remote position (within the United States), or you can work from one of our offices in Yarmouth, ME; Shawnee, KS; or Orlando, FL

 

Salary Range:

The base salary for this position is 187,500-250,500 depending on experience and is eligible for variable compensation and other merit-based compensation. In some rare cases, compensation below or above that range may be offered.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Define and execute the go-to-market strategy across regions, industries, and SAP ecosystem segments.
  • Manage and develop the full sales org: Client Engagement Managers (CEM) - Sales, Client Engagement Executives (CEE) - Post-Sales, Inside Sales, BDRs, Pre-Sales and Sales Architects.
  • Partner with Marketing, Delivery, and Product teams to ensure alignment across the customer journey.
  • Forecast, track, and report pipeline health, win rates, and revenue attainment to the CRO and executive team.
  • Lead strategic deal reviews and ensure pricing and commercial terms are optimized for both competitiveness and profitability.

People & Culture

  • Recruit, coach, and inspire a diverse team of sales professionals at varying levels of experience.
  • Establish clear career paths, compensation plans, and enablement programs that promote growth and accountability.
  • Foster a collaborative, performance-driven culture where creativity and results go hand in hand.
  • Leads with charisma and authenticity, inspiring trust and enthusiasm across teams, partners, and clients.  

Partnership & Ecosystem Engagement

  • Strengthen alignment with SAP account teams and partner network to accelerate joint opportunities.
  • Represent Veritas Prime in key industry and partner events, including SAP Sapphire, SAPConnect, Payroll Congress, and more.
  • Collaborate with strategic partners to drive co-sell and co-marketing initiatives.

Operational Excellence

  • Drive rigor in forecasting, Salesforce hygiene, and deal desk processes.
  • Implement scalable systems, dashboards, and tools to support a growing global sales motion.
  • Align closely with Finance and Legal to ensure contract consistency and deal governance.

Required Skills/Abilities

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus

 

Experience:

  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience in enterprise software, preferably in HRIS, HCM, or payroll technology.
  • Proven success leading multi-layered sales teams (field, inside, presales, partner) to exceed annual targets.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS financial models, including ARR, TCV, and multi-year renewals.
  • Track record of scaling sales teams through process discipline and a culture of accountability.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence - able to inspire confidence with customers and internal stakeholders alike.
  • Experience collaborating with large ecosystems (SAP, Workday, Oracle, UKG, etc.) preferred.
