Benefits Support Consultant

Job Description

As a Benefits Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our clients to translate business requirements for our system. You will focus on clients of varying sizes, complexities, and experience with benefits software. As a consultant, you will advise and coach the client on leading industry practices throughout the course of their implementations and ongoing renewal processes.
  

Location: 
This is a remote position (within the United States), or you can work from one of our offices in Yarmouth, ME; Shawnee, KS; or Orlando, FL. 

Salary Range: 

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 depending on experience. In some rare cases, compensation below or above that range may be offered. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role will not have direct reports at this time

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Gather benefits requirements to build in benefits system
• Facilitate discussions on leading practices for benefits SaaS
• Work with Module Leads and Project Managers to ensure work is done timely
• Assist in the setup of the enrollment portal, payroll files, and carrier EDI files
• Manage tier 1 and tier 2 renewals for new clients
• Willingness to understand dependencies from SAP SuccessFactors and to SAP Employee Central Payroll

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Understand benefits including federal and state-based compliance, ACA, COBRA, life and ancillary benefit, etc.
• Preferred experience with ACA management for benefits SaaS
• Preferred experience in at least 10 implementations of benefits SaaS
• EDI build, testing, and exception reporting review is a plus
• Experience in customer service and support
• Basic understanding of connectedness between HRIS, Benefits, Payroll, and Carrier systems
• PlanSource, Benefitfocus, or Employee Central Benefits knowledge a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

Education and Experience:

• 3 – 5 years benefits implementation consulting and/or renewal management experience
• Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
• Basic understanding of connectedness between HRIS, Benefits, Payroll, and Carrier systems
• PlanSource, experience preferred
• SmartSheets, MS Office experience is a plus
